Ashley Blackburn has been photographing people and animals in the South Carolina Lowcountry for several years. Ashley transmits her passion for natural beauty into her art, creating photography that is timeless and moving. She utilizes her unique eye for the natural artform into all of her work, which includes natural landscape photography of the Lowcountry, pet portraiture, and commissioned events such as weddings and formal functions.

Ashley’s talents were previously focused primarily on 35 mm black and white film darkroom photography but she has since branched into digital photography, which lends greatly to her versatility and has helped establish her as one of the Charleston area’s premier up-and-coming artists.

Ashley has been an active artist in the Charleston area, working with the finest photographers in South Carolina including Michelle Van Parys, Robin Stone, Marni Rothschild, and Julia Lynn. Her photography has been displayed in multiple print magazines as well as at the world-renowned Spoleto Festival and Dewees Island Art Center. Currently, Ashley works on assignment for Lowcountry Dog Magazine as a photographer and is also available for various freelance photographic commissions.
